Dear Friends,

While every bank retirees are eagerly looking forward towards the outcome of court proceedings (let it be positive or negative)partly heard   at Apex Court AIBRF the Apex retirees organisation is keeping silent on the issue as usual and try to  deviate  from the subject by continue to write letters/reminders as their usual style on non receipt of any response to their letters from DFS/RBI/IBA!

It is funny to to note that how PM office is responsible for non receipt of reply from IBA a voluntary association without any statutory authority  for letters sent by AIBRF to them!

Despite writing series of letters all these years to DFS or officials,if AIBRF could not get even an acknowledgement from  them is clear example that the above authorities have not recognised the existence of such organisation of bank retirees.

IBA itself made clear that they may not entertain any correspondence with retirees or their organisations and need to anticipate any reply.

Any one can write letters to any office in a democratic set up on their issues. There may have at least  further follow up or personal visit thereafter in such cases.Rarely it happened!

AIBRF leader ship should introspect on their such activities of mere writing writing letters to authorities which has not revoked any responce since past few years.

Let them at least meet and discuss with leaders of UFBU consistently  to find out possible way out to sort out our major issue, who are only authorised now  to negotiate with IBA on retirees issues.

The efforts placed on writing letters and submitting memorandums by AIBRF  are  diverted towards meeting the UFBU leaders and convincing them on  the need for pension updation,  would have fetched better results.

Mainly ego clashes are coming on the way of each retiree organisation.

AIBRF is concentrating more on publicity than on achieving the results.  It is painful to note that AIBRF is silent on latest developments in Singla case.

Regards.

Strong foundation i.e serious discussion between IBA and UFBU is a must to  resolve updation issue  outside court.
AIBRF is going to build a roof without a foundation.
DFS has made it clear that it will consider updation if a proposal  is submitted by IBA.
Further it is a commonsense that DFS which is a party in  M C Singla case will not respond positively to AIBRF letters. Further AIBRF has no goal, focus, commitment and consistency on any issue. One day ex gratia, next day Medical issue, then right to negotiate etc. How DFS will respond?
This is in contrast to RBI seving unions and Pensioners assns unity. They continuously and consistently focussed only on updation and achieved it. Though AIBPARC also adopted the same programs, it is appreciable that it took positive action in  M C Singla case after the death of Sri Singla.
It must be noted that many MPs.MLAs have sent letters to DFS on Updatiion and other issues but not received any response. DFS will never directly intervene in the matter. AIBRF should meet UFBU leaders and convince them to take up the issue with IBA and resolve the issue.
I think after the 5th Feb proceedings in SC AIBRF is frustrated.
