On a perusal of the Provisional Pension slip of SBI Pensioner it is observed that ex-gratia for May 24 is
based on pension payable for the corresponding month. Similarly arrears seems to have been worked out on the basis of actual pension paid for each month multiplied by the common factor. It is doubtful whether this formula would be the actual to be paid on 27.5.24 or SBI would follow suit with other banks
of fixed ex-gratia from Nov 22 onwards.

If you carefully observe the provisional pension pay slip you notice that it is mentioned as adhoc payment.
As SBI has saught some clarification as reported elsewhere it may be construed as interim relief pending clarification and suitable advise from IBA.
Sri C.N.Prasad the general secretary of SBM pensioners commune  can clarify the actual status of the system adopted by SBI in disbursement of Exgracia concept of arrears.
Let us  wait for the comments from the Think tank of 12 th bipartite settlement.

Sir,

Referring to letter posted a few days back, I request you to inform the actual method of calculation of ex-gratia followed by your bank after the payment is made tomorrow viz. whether on monthly basis or on the basis October 22 pension.
If you are a pre2002 retiree, please also inform if the DR for October 22 was notionally taken at 100%

Thanks & Regards

K N Ramani.

SBI has taken actual pension paid in oct 22 and paid exgracia up to may 2024.
The haven't considered 100 % D.A .
As it is reported else where the SBI has saught clarification from IBA.
After getting clearence pre 2002 pensioners may get revised Exgracia arrears.
Today what SBI has paid to all pre SBI retirees is based on the oct 2022 pension only till may 2024.
I think i have clarified your issue.
If any blog member has got further information is requested to enlighten.
