One of our pre 2002,retiree Mr MVR Siva Rao garu , who was suffering from blood cancer stage-2, Passed away yesterday at the age of 80years. He left his sick wife, who can not even walk. Few days ago when I visited to late
Siva Rao garu, his first question was any news about pension updation. Secondly he was bothered about commutation. His question was remaining amt of commutation recovery will be made from family pension in case of his death. Many people are not aware that unrecovered commutation amt is write-off by the bank after the death of pensioner and family pensioner need not to pay. One more thing our bank(UCO) pays 20000 as funeral expenses , their family members were not aware of this. So all pensioner should inform all these to their family members

May the soul rest in peace.

This is the plight of pensioners particularly pre-2002 retirees.
