My mail sent to AIBRF is reproduced below.

"Comrade,

As you are well aware of, the pre Nov2002 retirees continue to get a reduced exgratia (based on the tapered DA of Oct 2022) although they were granted 100% DA wef Oct 2023.

UFBU had told as far back as in April 2024 that this anomaly would be rectified very soon. However, even after a lapse of 15 months, it continues.
As one of the affected pensioners, I request you to urge upon UFBU to take steps for immediate removal of this disparity at least wef October 2023.

Thank you.

K N Ramani "

I have sent a mail to the Gen Secretary AIBRF. I know they cannot reply to each and every individual. But just to bring our request to their notice.
************************************************
To
Sri.S.C.jain
Hon.General Secretary
AIBRF
Respected Sir.
Sub:  Long pending issues of Bank Pensioners
Sir, we are happy to note that UFBU has invited AIBRF for discussions on EX gratia and other issues. In this connection we beg your permission to submit before you the following points for your kind consideration. The issue of Updation has become sub judice and Pending in SC. For the last three years not a single hearing was held. It is uncertain when the case will reach a logical end.
Pre 2002 retirees are aged between 70-90.
Under the circumstances pending SC verdict, we beg your good selves to take up the following issues with UFBU which can be resolved as no court cases pending regarding these issues.
                   1. MERGER OF DA@8088 points.
IBA seems to have a positive mindset on this issue and has twice suggested UFBU, to submit notes on the merger issue. From your previous circulars we observed that you have already prepared detailed calculations with notes and charts. we Kindly request you to provide these details to UFBU and convince them to take up the issue with UFBU on priority basis.
                   2. Shifting of base year for Calculation of DA.
                   3. Improvement in Ex gratia.
After a long time UFBU is consulting a retiree association. This is a very good development.
We request you to make best use of this godsend opportunity and convince UFBU leaders about  speedy resolution of above issues, as very few years left for Pre-2002 retirees.
                  Thanking you
                  Yours faithfully\
                   J Somashekar
                   EX Officer.

Sir
We have opted for pension with bank as per pension regulations 1994 in which it is clearly given that our pension regulation is similar to RBI. It is the duty of bank to implement the agreed settlement. Our unions are not questioning the banks because they want to retain their post.
My question is whether the management takes decisions independently or whether it  waits for attenders instructions. (Union)
So my request to all retirees is to write a registered letter to the bank from where they're retired demanding the bank to revise PENSION as per settlement.
LET the bank say that there is no updation clause or there is funds to revise PENSION and send the copy to CLC Chief Labour Commissioner. Few lakhs of letters must reach to Banks, CLC, and DFS Dept of Finance. We will see what reply the bank gives us.

Dear Members,

I worked in a Grameena bank from 1stSept 1983 to 28 Feb 2003. A total service of 19.5 yrs and resigned. Is there any possibility that I become eligible for pension?

Yours sincerely
Venkat

Why this point was not raised when Pension Regulation was signed in 1995?

AIBRF and AIBEA are twins so imagine yourself about AIBRF

It is better to compare AIBRF as a chip out of the wood i.e., AIBEA.
