Further to the deliberations during the CLC meeting held on 17/06/2025 and in view of the upcoming session scheduled for August 11, 2025, it has been decided to convene a preparatory meeting to deliberate on various ongoing issues.

After fixing a date by clc,Delhi, till now ufbu or iba not even taken any initiative to discuss any matters agreed to discuss and make 8.3.2024 12th bps. I think they may jointly get mutual understanding to how to delay the pensioners issues further.

I will not have any expectations from  this IBA and UFBU meeting regarding our issues.

IMPROVEMENT IN EX GRATIA

We bankers had filed a petition before CLC requesting improvement in ex gratia taking into account 100% DA revision. IBA filed a reply to CLC stating that

Only UFBU being recognized by the member banks and the   authorised signatory to minutes dated 08.03.24 only UFBU has authority to raise dispute regarding provisions of agreement of BPS. We bankers forum has no  locus standi to raise dispute regarding the said settlement. Similarly, complying with the provisions of the said settlement review of the ex gratia amount has been undertaken on April 24 and April 25 in mutual agreement with the unions and associations. 

Subsequent to this reply CLC has closed the matter.

UPDATION

IBA is claiming sub judice in bPS meetings as the case is pending with SC. However both IA and UFBU have submitted before  CLC that they are discussing the issue and it will be continued. There is 1% possibility  that Singhla case verdict may come  in August-Sep and IBA may have to start discussion on Updation as the issue will not be sub judice. However to  help IBA to continue claiming sub judice AIBOA has filed one more case in Bombay High court. When UFBU has filed the case how can they convince IBA to start discussion on updation. Everything is going according to the pre-written script. AIBOA is part of UFBU and how can UFBU demand resolution of updation before CLC as they have choses path of litigation.

MERGER OF DA ETC

IBA and UFBU are meeting on 10th and file a joint submission before CLC that they are discussing the issue and it will be continued/
