RBI governors though were in favour of Updation of RBI pensioners could not implement updation for 9 long years. However due to continuous struggle by RBI employees as well as retirees, the NDA govt finally accepted and implemented it in 2019.
There is virtually no demand for updation from UFBU. CHV has closed the issue claiming there are no funds for updation. AIBOC has agreed and kept silent.

I think, when  RBI governor/Board introduced pension updation, it was annulled by GOI stating that it was beyond their powers. Reason given for non approval was, it would give rise similar demands from PSB pensioners, as their pension scheme was based on that of RBI.However, the RBI pensioners fought against the government's decision in Court which ruled that the Board of RBI had indeed such powers as per its constitution. So, the government had to budge finally after losing the appeals against that judgement.

When it comes to upward revision of salaries of working employees by 15% or 17%, CHV sees no dearth of funds ! But when their is talk of pension updation, the idiot pleads dearth of funds ! There is no morality left in CHV ! He is a selfish leader ! As he himself is enjoying a world of benefits by continuing As GS of AIBEA, why would he care for the retirees !

Now M C Singla case is listed on 05.02.2016 tomorrow.
Let us hope for some development in the case.
On 03,12,2025 Hon Judge in the LIC updation case ordered that the case should be listed on 04.02.2026.on top of the board.
It seems the case has not been listed today in spite of the order of Hon .judge.

"Senior Pensioners of RBI are getting arrears of more than 9 lakhs, while we are paying 9 lahs to advocates on every hearing"
