POST FROM UMESH SHARMA ABOUT COURTROOM EXPERIENCE IN RESPECT OF FABIPA CASE FOR 40;50 PENSION AND 100% DA IN DELHI HIGH COURT
If we include numbers of hearings since case was filed by FSBIPA the tally comes to 123.
On three occasions SC issued directions to DHC to conclude the case in 6 months time during 2017, 2019 and 2022 yet the case continues.
As per SC directives cases of senior citizens to be heard in the morning session and listed as such but hardly 3-4 times it was complied with. On several occasions we were lept waiting till 4 PM and then adjourned without hearing.
Conditions inside the court premises are not litigant friendly. Entire seats in the corridor are served for advocates.Sometimes we are accommodated otherwise we had to stand or sit on stairs.
There are canteens inside the premises but are not open for us! For a cup of tea we have to
walk down half a km where there are no sitting arrangements but have to stand under the
shadow of a tree.
It's very painful experience and many a times felt like withdrawing but for commitment to
,late PPR sir. I am continuing. Courts are paradise for counsels and torture house for
litigants!!
