Dear Mr  Verma:
Thanks for the interest you have shown.

First and foremost, the medicial benefit which you mention
for Pensioners in Central Bank of India actually covers all
the retiress i.e. both pensioners and non pensioners.

The Bank will reimburse the hospitalisation expenses
(admission and discharge is a must for this) to the
extent of Rs.15,000/= per annum.  This includes the
amount spent for the spouse also.  The greatest
benefit for the retirees in this scheme is that the bank
will reimburse the premium paid by the retirees towards
their medical insurance policy also.  To be more clear,
a retiree who has paid premium for his/spouse towards
the medical insurance policy is eligible  for the reimbursement
upto a maximum of Rs.15000/= per year.

This has come into force only from this Financial year.
i.e. 2010 - 2011.

Regards
Radhakrishnan

Dear Mr Verma:
Thanks for your mail.

As per my knowledge, all retirees are eligible. To be more
cautious, you can contact the local Regional Office and
get their confirmation.  I do not think Central Office have
put any restriction in this matter.

Radhakrishnan
