Dear Retirees from Commercial Banks,

CBREA,  the foremost retirees association started in 2001 is spearheading successful legal battles for the VRS / normal retirees for the past 17 years.

We have taken up the issue of payment of interest for the period of delayed payment of gratuity and the undersigned argued nearly 200 cases and won interest on delayed payment of gratuity.

In Central Bank and Andhra Bank, interest on interest for delay is also argued and won.

We are one of the parties before the Hon’ble Supreme Court in Mohandas Vs Bank of India and as a result of the judgment 5 years notional service benefit has been accorded to PSU banks excluding Associate Banks and private sector banks.

We are responsible for taking up the case before Madras High Court in C Sankari Vs State Bank of Hyderabad and winning the case. As a result of Mrs Sankari’s case, State Bank of Travancore each retirees have received nearly 11 lacs of rupees as arrears.  Mrs C Sankari has put in only 19 years of service under VRS and  SBH denied pension to her as she has not completed 20 years.  All subsidiary banks have paid pension to those retired under VRS having less than 20 years of service and who were denied pension because of this judgment.  Mrs Sankari got nearly Rs 10 lacs as arrears and also granted pension now. Google  C.Sankari Vs State Bank of Hyderabad.

The undersigned argued and got monetary benefit for leave encashment to CRS workman even before IBA circular.

We are representing members from Andhra Bank, Canara Bank, UCO Bank, Central Bank, United Bank of India, Indian Bank and Vijaya Bank.

We represent only commercial banks from India barring SBI, Co-operative Banks, RBI.

Ours is a premium organisation with premium issues taken up by reputed lawyers at the appropriate forum/ court.

The Secretary of the Association, the undersigned, has argued many cases before the Industrial Tribunal and has authored a book namely “ LEGAL GUIDE TO DEFENCE”  and the book was reviewed by “The Hindu”. He is one of the Co-authors of the book with Com V S Ekambaram from SBI.

We have issued notices to all banks on 5 years issue and also on 1684 issue in the year 2003 itself and our case is pending before Madras High Court. The five years issue is closed now as far as PSU banks are concerned.

We are the first Association to take up the case of 5 years and 1684 issue against PRIVATE BANK ING Vysya Bank ( Now Kotak Bank).  The Civil Suit filed by us in Bangalore is coming to finality in a few months.

We are represented by a team of lawyers ably assisted by the undersigned.

We have a website called  cbrea.com. Please visit our site.

Ours is a premium Association with success.

Private bank retirees either under VRS / superannuation are totally neglected.
