It is learnt that AIRBEA (All India Retired Bank Employees Association)has
sometime back got apex courts' Judgement favouring updation and it is on
hold for implementation sequel to some administrative impediments
Can this point be cited in the motion hearing of Singla Case as an
affidavit as it vouches
favourable disposition of the Apex Court on the issue

Dear Sir,
I too faced a lot of issues while trying to claim reimbursement after
hospitalization.
Initially, they denied cashless treatment saying that the policy is not
active. IBA didn't even send policy details for 3 months after policy
creation.
Then when I submitted bills for reimbursement, they rejected saying that
hospitalization is not for 24 hours. I had taken domiciliary policy also,
but still, they didn't reimburse me for any tests and bills.
I feel Insurance is a big scam to dupe us from our money.
Regards,
Rayakar

Mr. CHV deserves a big hand for his letter dt. 27.02.24 to IBA requesting inclusion of Private Bank Pensioners for ex-gratia.
At the same time he should have written a letter to IBA for release of ex-gratia to pensioners as per formula agreed upon on 13.02.24 considering their age and financial condition.

It appears that constituents within ufbu have started expressing their
dissatisfactions over the delay in signing bps agreements.

From the various posts that have come up in social media since 2010, it can
be said that officers associations are the real enemy of pensioners. They
always played a dubious role and deceived poor pensioners.

If UFBU demand of 5 day Banking is genuine they should seek appointment
with FM and take a delegation to sort out
5 day Banking
Pension to resignees which is pending for 4 months.
This will resolve the issues.
Each constituent of UFBU writing letters is delaying tactics. This will
also help implement Ex gratia early.

Resp. Gulati ji,
I retired about 17 years ago as AGM of Central Bank
of India . Even as clerk I worked upto 2 am of next day during closing.
Whenever requested by BM or Acctt. I worked in bank on Sundays also. Except
one branch where I worked for about nine months as CM, I could never leave
the branch before 7 pm. There were occasions when I sat in the office
throughout night, working for twenty hours at a stretch. As AGM there was
not even a single Sunday that I spent at home.I spent all Sundays in the
office. Today I am surprised why all the unions and working staff are dying
for 5 day week ? For them 5 day week is more important than pension
updation of the retirees. We are so helpless that we can not do anything !

Possibility of Ex gratia and resolution of updation through court are not
happening in near future, AIBEA /AIBOC leaders have no concern for senior
pensioners and are busy with their personal agenda.
SC will be closed for summer vacation from May 20 and will reopen on July
8th, Mr.Singhla case verdict will not come before May 20 as hearings are
being adjourned.
As Union leaders are busy solving national issues they are not in a hurry
to sign 12th BPS. MOU has no value and if the new FM takes charge in June
there may be some more delay. SC worries about the low pension of their
retired judges, but there is nobody to care for Bank pensioners.

Dear Mr. Mohan, Mr. Vasudevan, Mr. Kartik,
Thanks for your help.
I was able to get the e-card, thanks to the bank (Canara Bank).
I tried to get the claim reimbursement and sent the claim documents to the
TPA (Raksha). But they rejected it saying hospitalization is for less than
24 hours. I had the domiciliary policy also, but they didn't even reimburse
the tests/bills.
Also, please let me know the email id for the ombudsman.
