Process of IInd Option of Pension in Canara Bank.

Sir, Our Bank (Canara Bank) has started sending Pension Papers, Medical Exam Report Formats in response to our Pension Option Letters. They are also advising: Amount to be refunded by us, Commutation Amount, Net Amount to be refunded (after netting Commutation Amt.), Amount of Basic Pension. Completed Forms to be sent to the Bank by 18-11-2010 (Final Date)....DVS.

How r u .Thank you for the latest news .But the funniest thing is doctor is recommending  for commutation .No other govt like State or Central never asks an employee after 30 to 40 years of service to go for medical test.Suppose someone is sick really ,can the Bank refuse ,It will be a big case then.We may hear these cases hereafter.Let us see.

If there is gap of more than 1 year in retirement date and commutation application date,
Medical test is a must even in respect of Govt. pensions......
Commutation is usually not refused but commutation factor is aggravated for the purpose
of working out commutation amount.(by notionally adding years to age by doctor,if he feels
so).
