Dear Sir,

I am enclosing herewith communication addressed to IBA by the General Secretary of INBOC for issuing guidelines to all banks, directing them to grant pensions to all such resignees who have completed more than 19 years and 6 months of service.
Please request your colleagues to apply to the Bank for pension option with service of more than 19 years and 6 months.

Thanks & Regards

Only IBA is empowered to amend BEPR 1995 to help resignee employees who had between 10 years to 20 years of Service at resignation to get justice to become eligible for pension option.
Unfortunately most of such aggrieved bank employees are old enough and have no energy to represent themselves and pursue this matter. No Association is showing any interest to fight for them,

Absolutely right. God alone should come to the rescue of such people.

While IBA and UFBU seem to evince little interest in resolving even simple issues like the anomaly in calculation of exgratia to pre 2002 retirees,
it will be naive to expect them to resolve issues requiring amendment to BEPR 1995.

At least our retired officers' welfare association has rightfully taken up the cause at various levels pointing out the justification for pension claim of those resignees with 15 to less than 20 years of service.

Similar action should be taken by other associations also on a all India level.
