IBA has called for suggestions from UFBE for renewal of health insurance from 1-11-2026 .It is time pensioners Federation to list out the difficulties especially the poor service by TPAs in respect  of cashless treatment and undue delay and short settlement of claims .Though premium is increasing year after year  citing inflation and high claim ratio similar pleas are not placed by ufbe to increase the cap in certain diseases like cataract and short settlement of claim by TPAs.Let every TPA appoint one exclusive customer service executive for IBA-brokered health insurance and let each bank has a liaison officer to deal exclusively with insurance related issues with TPAs in each bank. The service levels of TPAs leave much to be desired. Suggestions are expected by IBA by 20th July from UFBE. Will UFBE rise to the occasion .?

Yes.The basic point is the level of resolution of issues pertaining to IBA GMIS to be improved.Especially different TPA acts differently in different cases though all comes currently  under National Insurance under IBA scheme.
Every TPA has already provided exclusive laison officers   to sort out issues.Banks too have appointed nodal officers specifically and even details of  officials on escalation of matters are communicated through circulars of each banks.
But basic question is how far these existing  systems help the retirees in case of admission in hospitals and submission of claim!
Above all demand for bearing the premium by banks  on IBA GMIS by retirees  should be the ultimate aim.
