ATTENTION PENSIONERS FROM PSU BANKS ) including subsidiary banks

 ( Other than SBI) :

 

This message is applicable to pensioners from public Sector Banks who are in receipt of arrears from banks as result of Hon’ble Supreme Court judgement in Bank of Baroda Vs G Palani ( Civil Appeal 5525 of 2012).

 

You got the arrears and you may or may not have got the arrears sheets from the bank.

 

Almost all banks have not taken into account commutation aspect.

 

Commercial Banks retired employees Association has applied the judgement in respect of The Secretary of COMMERCIAL BANKS RETIRED EMPLOYEES ASSOCIATION, V Vasudevan, who himself is a VRS retiree from Andhra Bank, Tamilnadu. Who happens to be the sender of this post.

 

According to his own calculation an amount of Rs 3,80,076 is due from the bank to him as a result of the Supreme Court Judgment. 

 

THIS AMOUNT IS ARRIVED AFTER DEDUCTING  Rs 88481.37 arrears paid by the Bank.

 

Actually the undersigned is entitled for Rs 468558.31 but the bank paid only Rs 88481.37

 

A detailed calculation is made, verified as per Pension Regulations, 1995 and as per Hon’ble SC Judgment.

 

The bankers and IBA have taken the pensioners for a ride.

 

Cbrea is contemplating to file a writ on or before 30-11-2018 for recovery of money due from the bank.

01     Signed application

02     A letter authorizing Secretary of cbrea to file a case on your behalf

03     A DD for Rs 7000/-  fvg ‘Commercial Banks Retired employees Association’

04     Details form to be filled by you on joining as a member

05     Arrears sheet of 2018

06     PPO copy

07     Email ID

08     Any other details called for

 

Please note before filing the case for recovery of amount a meeting will be arranged @ Chennai.

Dear Friends/Sri Vasudevan,

Gone through the calculation sheet attached to the mail. The attached popular calculator shows the amount payable much lower. The basis on which Sri Vasudevan's calculations need an explanation, to understand the claim. 

In the meantime, I am attaching my calculation in respect of my arrears, manually calculated. It almost tallied with the calculator mentioned above. My date of retirement 31.03.2001. I am a VR-2001 retiree of e-SBM. At the time of the calculation/arrears payment, the notional service benefit was not released. Received at a later date. The last few rows [example: interest poration] adjusted so that the amount received by me tallies. So far, SBI has not provided us the calculation sheet.
