The hearing is to resume today. Let us keep our fingers crossed and hope that following points come to the specific attention of honourable jurists during the proceedings.
.That RBI pensioners have got pension updation thrice without any updation clause in their regulation(It cannot also effectively figure in regulation in the form of any formula)
.The hint for updation for PSU pensioners were evident in joint proceedings  with IBA on various occasions which are documented.
.RBI pensioners updation was prolonged on the apprehension of PSU pensioners' similar demand for the same, which is on record

.That pensioners lacked effective representation to espouse their cause in the wage negotiations and the role of unions left things to be desired
.Some of the fringe benefits like erasure of fitment anamoly, disparity in dA and all have been made possible by benevolence in court proceeedings.
.It is more than 3 decades since pension scheme came in to vogue. With no updation some of the earliest retirees are languishing.
.Some of the pensioners have died in penury.
.It will be evident from the chart ordered to be submitted that the pension emolument of a senior most  surviving retired General Manager is LESS THAN THAT OF A RECENTLY RETD EMPLOYEE IN CLERICAL CADRE because of aberrarion.
.The pension scheme is defined fund scheme with all benefits that go with it viz periodical updation and inflation indexed DA. Hence there cannot be discrimination between serving employee and retired.
We await the dawn of a good day for pensioners
