Dear Sri Sathyanarayana Raoji,

First point is merger of CPI 8088 Points and change of CPI series to 2016 as implemented under 12th BPS/9th JN has been kept pending in case of pensioners prior to 1.11.22,and inclued under residual issues.

So it may be expected to be implemented little bit later,may be along with change in  next half yearly DR . Any way same may be implemented.

Just for an understating :

You may multiply your current basic pension with relevant factors furnished hereunder to know your revised  Notional Basic Pension on implementation of merger & change if CPI series as above.

As of  now revised DR would be at 15.73% on notional BP.

Factors are:

For 6th BPS.7.07,7th BPS.4.84,8th BPS.3.61,9th BPS 2.97.10th 1.91,& 11th 1.3

Mr Sreenivasan,

Commutation takes place only at the time of retirement.Currently those who retired under 12 th BPS only  may have effect of commutation.Not for 11th BPS retirees.Even if merger takes place at a later date only Notional increase in BP may happen for this group and not a further commutation.
