This update has been posted in Galaxy of stars and also being sent to BOI alumni members whose mail ID is correct. 

 

PLEASE HELP ALL YOUR COLLEAGUES AND FAMILY PENSIONERS SO THAT THEY MAY SUBMIT THEIR LIFE CERTIFICATE.THERE MAY BE FEW CASES WHERE PENSIONER CAN NOT REACH TO ANY BRANCH THEN REQUEST ANY BRANCH TO ASSIST THE PENSIONERS SO THAT HE/SHE MAY SIGN LIFE CERTIFICATE AT HIS/HER RESIDENCE IN PRESENCE OF ANY OFFICER OF THE BANK. 

 

Generally messages do not reach to all pensioners. Last time one pensioner of Mumbai Main branch  was hospitalized ( and was all alone ) and there was no one to help him. After collecting his life Certificate he expired within  5 days .  His son was abroad and he came after his expiry . 

 

We will request HO to release list of pensioners and family pensioners who have not submitted Life Certificate after 10th of January so that vigorous follow up may be done by volunteers. Release of IOM to ZOs and ZOs to Branches  is one way of communication   but personal touch is important as many family pensioners and retirees are no on FB or do not use email. Even very literate people are not using  computer and get information from others.   Please also take care for those who have settled abroad.

FOR SUBMISSION OF LIFE CERTIFICATE 
TIME LIMIT FOR SUBMISSION OF LIFE CERTIFICATE EXTENDED FROM NOVEMEBER,2016 TO JANUARY,2017

The copy of IOM issued by TBD today( on 4th January,2017) is attached . Please inform all to submit it before 31st January,2017 positively . Submission of Life Certificate may be updated in HRMS by Branch Manager or ZO HRMS.They may do it in their convenient time but confirm from them about it . Last time pension of hundreds of pensioners was stopped because Life Cert was either not submitted or it was not fed in the HRMS. After lot of efforts the job was completed. Please take precautions this time and ensure that even all the family pensioners submit Life Certificate before last date to avoid stoppage of Pension in the month of February,2017 . Volunteers should take a lead in this matter.

My  pension branch Chandlodia  branch sent me screen shot after submission of my life Certificate as I did not ask for any acknowledgement . This is more than an acknowledgement. On that day there was no Link and I , after submitting my LC, moved from branch without wasting their valuable time . I have utilized this screen shot for providing awareness to others ( This change has come from this year . Earlier there were many cases when LC were submitted to branch and either Branch forgot to send it to ZO or ZO HRMS forgot to feed LC in HRMS- the result was very sad and it wasted lot of time of many people to accomplish the job and many pensioners/family pensioners could not get their pension in time.
