the value of DR  1 slab is the factor given as per PPO.
the pension payment order speaks of the factor with which
we multiply the number of slabs,
so long I was multiplying the number of slabs with the
D.R. factor as given in the PPO.
It is giving correct value. My basic pension is 7,365.
But the D.A. increase for the half year Feb.2025 as per 7th BPS now is 15.84%
.on increase of 66 slabs.
when multiplied with DR factor in my PPO i.e.13.9587,
66 slabs X 13.9587, it works out as  Rs. 921.2742
But whereas for the previous halfyear, the DA @451.92%
on basic  pension of 7,365 ,it works out as Rs.33,284,
now as per new revised DR , the percentage of
as 467.76%,  it works DRout as Rs. 34,450 increase of
DR of Rs.1,166 (34,450-33,284).
so it gives Rs.921 increase as per DR factor as against the increase(
Rs.1,166 ( basic pension 7,365 X15.84% increase)
Now can anyone give clarification whether the DR factor
as per PPO still holds good or not?

With best regards,

Dear Mr Srirama Murthy,

Based on information provided by you, note that your
DR is as follows in past two half years.

1.Aug-jan'25 BP.₹7365.DR.451.92%Rs.33283
2.Feb'25-July'25.₹7365 DR.467.76%(Sl.1949)Rs.34450

As such your DR factor may come to 17.6757

It seems that DR factor provided in your PPO might be based on old DR rates then applicable to pre 2002 pensioners.
Hope it is clear .
Regards
Mohan.P

Since the 100% DA applicable now no meaning of DR. Simply multiply Slab x 0.24(if you retired in 7thBPS) outcome will be net increase

Sir,

For your basic pension of Rs.7,365/-, per slab DA is Rs.17.676

17.676 x 1949 slabs will give DA as Rs.34,450.52

Alternatively 7,365 x 467.76% = Rs.34,450.52 is the present DA.

Dear Sir,

The per slab DA for your basic pension, when you retire, may be Rs.13.9587. Your basic pension changed to Rs.7,365 and the per slab DA went up to Rs.13.965.  The increase in basic pension was for the addition of notional service.  This was as per the old DA formula. From October 2023, you are drawing 100% DA on your basic pension of Rs.7,365. The present DA per slab is Rs.17.676 is for 100% DA.

Please note down the multiplication factor Rs.17.676 per slab.

Dear Sri Rama Murthy.
Basic Pension 7365
DR Factor (tapered)  Upto  3500 x 0.24% = 8.520
                       Next  2100 x 0.20% = 4.200
                       Next    360 x 0.12% = 0.432
                       Next  1355 x 0.06% = 0.813
Your old tapered DR Factor on 7365 should be 13.965

Your new DR Factor (100% DR) on 7365 x 0.24% = 17.676.
DR = 17.676 (DRF) x 1949 (slabs) = 34450.524 (34451/-)

Dear Sri. Mohan ji,

Your clarification is very correct.
As mentioned in my another mail of today, the multiplication factor is
7365x0.24%= ₹17.67 per slab
and DR increase for Mr.Sriramamurthi
will be 17.67x66=₹1166.
