Dear Sri Gopinathan Nair.....

I am a member of pensions blog on googlegroups. I have not heard/read about any developments in case of retirees of VijayaBank under banks VRS 2000/2001 regarding five years weitage and/or about medical aid. I am out of India at present and shall be glad to get some details on further developments in case of retiree benefits

Dear Sri. Gopinath Nair,

This is a very important Issue. Please let the members of the this group know the present situation about adding proportionate 5 years service while calculating pension of VRS 2000/2001 retirees. Though I am not from Vijaya Bank, this information will help all retirees of Vijaya Bank to get the support of large number of members against the mean attitude of the Management even after Supreme Court judgment.

Please let us know the position.

Though favorable verdict was given by single judge in Karnataka High court on 21/04/2011 in a batch of writ petitions by Vijaya Bank Pensioners, the bank preferred to appeal to larger bench.

Vijaya Bank preferred Writ appeals on 27.06.2011. Case No and status as available as on date is furnished below.

WA 4922-5136 OF 2011 filed on 27/06/2011 Pending for admission Last hearing date 12/1/2/2011
