Subject: Ex Gratia for Pre Nov.2002 retirees, with notional 100% D,A Neutralization Applicability. ( AIBEA cir.letter 29/28/2024/ 6 dated 30/3/24)

Dear Sir,

After  your assurance as contained in captioned circular letter almost 4 months are getting over, but it appears necessary clarification from IBA is not received by banks.

Trust you are in agreement to MAINTAIN  SANCTITY  OF YOUR ASSURANCE , and     also definitely   desire  that  Affected retirees who are at the  fag end of their  days  should not be deprived of their rightful claim to get 100%  D,A neutralization  AT LEAST  FROM  OCT 2023   if  NOT  from Oct  2022 for their Ex Gratia.

When  UFBU  boasts of resolving retirees many issues and rightful so , why there is INORDINATE  DELAY  in  securing     small rightful claim of 100%  D A neutralization ,  AT LEAST  from Oct 2023  for  Ex Gratia   of  FEW retirees who are above 85 years of age  is anybody,s guess.

Hope affected retirees get justice for their Ex Gratia without further delay.

Wishing  good luck.

G J Dhond

Dear Shri Ganpat Dhond ji,

Pranams. I have been periodically writing to Sri.CHV as well as other organizations
to inform where the matter stands.
But, none has responded so far.
On 21st May 24, I got a one line reply from Sri CHV as under.
  "Don't  worry, everything will come".
Two months have passed since then.
As you have rightly mentioned, the sooner it comes (at least wef Oct 23)
the better for us in view of our age.
I hope and wish that you get a detailed reply.

Regards,

K N Ramani

sir, when ex-gratia was sanctioned there was no mention of 100 %DA or otherwise. The sanction stated DA drawn on Oct.2022. In view of this IBA  may not be issuing any clarification.
This point is not raised that time and when retiree's complained. The matter was taken up.
I think there is every hope of resolution of the issue from 1.4.2024 i.e. the date of revision of exgratia as per settlement.
In view of this I request UFBU negotiators to hurry process of revision of ex-gratia ,as now balance sheets of all banks are published.
However in legality application of 100 % DA should be from October 2023,.the date we got the anomaly rectified.

Dear sir,

Why    SILENCE on YOUR ASSURANCE, when your captioned circular says that Affected Retirees need not have ANXIETY on this issue.

Trust will get positive news at the earliest.

How long  the retirees retired before 2002 has to wait to see the updation. Whether the unions Will recommend to God to extend the life span of retirees till pension is revised. I think the Unions are more powerful.

There was no commitment to revise the Ex gratia as and when DA increases except reviewing the same.
Updation verdict in Late Mr.Singhla's case is expected within one or two months. If the verdict comes in pensioners favour Ex gratia will stop and the matter ends there.
If it is against pensioners Unions have to demand for an increase in Ex gratia substantially. and not just including 100% DA increase.

Somashekarji,  whether the Singlas case is against exgratia ?  If the decision as per prayer, orders of the SC will be implemented by Banks.  If the Case is dismissed also, Banks cannot quote 'subjudice' , and increase the pension across the board.
It took nearly 9 years for getting 100% DA after dismissal of case in Supreme Court, hope - updation will not be delayed to that extent - even if case is lost.
