to MANI MARAN GENERAL SECRETARY
Respected Sri Manimaran, General Secretary, Canara Bank Officers' Association,

Sir, Punjab National Bank, UCO Bank and Bank of Baroda in addition to State Bank of India are making payment of Privilege Leave upto 240 days to Officers retired compulsorily between 27.11.2000 to 29.04.2015.
These banks have sought the permission from Indian Banks' Association for making payment of Privilege Leave to Officers retired compulsorily between 27.11.2000 to 29.04.2015.

From 30.04.2015 and onwards, all banks are making payment of Privilege Leave upto 240 days to all compulsorily retired officers.

It is satirical to note that Officers retired compulsorily on or after 30.04.2015 are good officers and officers retired compulsorily between 27.11.2000 to 29.04.2015 are bad officers because officers retired compulsorily between 27.11.2000 to 29.04.2015 are not permitted for encashment of Privilege Leave.

It is requested to take up the matter with the CMD/CEO/BOARD OF DIRECTORS of Canara Bank for approval of payment of Leave Encashment to officers retired compulsorily between 27.11.2000 to 29.04.2015.

Circulars of PNB, UCO Bank and Bank of Baroda are enclosed in attached files for your kind perusal.

You are requested to take up the matter with CMD/CEO/Board of Directors of Canara Bank and help the hapless officers who compulsorily retired between 27.11.2000 to 29.04.2015 for encashment of Privilege Leave upto 240 days.

it is hoped that your good office will do prevail upon the Bank Management and will get approval of the Board of Directors for Encashment of Privilege Leave to see that Canara Bank is the next bank who permits payment of Leave Encashment to officers retired compulsorily between 27.11.2000 to 29.04.2015.

Thanks and regards.

Sir,

My question is why IBA is not issuing circular for all Banks in this regards.

Banks can’t make payments own their own because they need some kind of backing or letter from competent authority for making a rule.

Sir,
No use.  Other banks are not paying.  I retired from State Bank of Patiala and they are not paying despite many recent letters and reminders.
