Dear PM,

Thanks for the information. Some sort of relief though pre-2002 pensioner is not compensated in full and the loss is burgeoning in every 6 months.

wish you a happy, prosperous and peaceful new year

Dear Sri Parasuraman,
As you have rightly pointed out in fact the half yearly increase in DA is great relief to all pensioners in general particularly for pre 2002 retirees.(Exceptions may be there)
Two things are  certain in early 2016, in tune with our pension regulations. 1. DA increase for next half year w.e.f Feb'16 . 2. Restoration of commuted portion of pension to SVRS retirees.

Let us  hope for the best  for all retirees /family pensioners during current year .

Thanks for the information. However, the expected increase in slabs (i.e. 64) is applicable not only to the retirees under 10th BPS as stated,  but also to the retirees under previous BPS. The only difference is rate in percentage per slab.

For the pre 2002 retirees it is beneficial if the CPI comes down. Just as when Prices increase we are not fully compensated, when the Consumer Price Index comes down we are the beneficiaries.

Yes, You are right Mr Sharma. Increase in slabs are uniform in all  BPS/JN. Rate of DA may vary. It was an omission in citing an example . It should have been> ( Retired under 10th BPS/JN may get 42.80% in that case )

Why no one is interested in taking up with IBA/Govt for effecting changes in payment of increased DA every quarter instead of half yearly now being paid. Pensioners are put to loss by this method of payment as the increase will be a substantial. Please take up for change in payment of DA every quarter instead of half yearly
