I am a retired officer of PNB.  Recently I have sent a medical insurance claim to SAFEWAY TPA for reimbursement. Out of the claim an amount of Rs 13750/- that pertains to Hospital Room Rent change for 5 AND HALF  days at the rate of Rs 2500/- per day.  The  TPA has passed an amount of Rs 4125/- and disallowed an amount of Rs 9625/- reason being ROOM RENT CAPPING.

DEAR FRIENDS, WHETHER THE DEDUCTION IS CORRECT?   AS PER THE POLICY, THE ROOM  RENT ELIGIBILITY IS MAXIMUM RS 5000/-

PLEASE GUIDE ME

Room rent depends on basic sum insured amount.  For getting room rent of ₹5000/- the basic sum insured must be  either ₹3 or ₹ 4 lacs.

Sir, 

My basic policy insurance courage is Rs 4.00 lac.  But the Safeway TPA has passed Room rent  of Rs 4125/- against my claim amount of Rs 13750/- (room rent for 5 and half days @ Rs 2500/- per day.  Can any one provide the relevant clause under the policy
