DIFFICULTY OFTEN FACED BY ME BEING CANARA BANK (Staff Pension)Customer

WHENEVER I COMPLAIN TO CANARA BANK CUSTOMER CARE, THE FOLLOWING IS MADE OUT TO ME BY THE CUSTOMER CARE ,IN RESPECT OF UNBLOCKING OF NET BANKING ACOUNT.
1. my phone number is not registered with them
2  my date of Birth is not noted
Now they say the Phone nbumber I called from is noted by them.
They have verified my AAdhar xxxx...........xxxx, when I told aadhar first 4 digits, and last 4 digits
In my pension drawing Canara Bank branch,Hyderabad , in my account/s Pension S.B .though it displays Joint 1 with my
spouse, in Net banking account profile , the account status is being shown as INDIVIDUAL.
May be in records in all sections, my wife name is made joint with. But in profile of net banking account it shows individual
may be due to account being Pension one.
THOUGH I VISITED THE BRANCH SEVERAL TIMES REQUESTING THEM TO UPDATE/CORRECT THE D.O.B.9DATE OF BIRTH),,they have not so far corrected the default date of birth to actual date of birth. And the kyc documents submitted.
Here in many branches computerised the Records with default date of birth to all accounts without caring for correction.
EVEN TODAY the customer service says they are unable to do correction , as the correction is to be made by the branch.
However the customer service is kind enough to take my complaint.
Moreover hitherto  have been running the Pension account as well as other S.B.account joint with my son, I am given to
understand that  accounts different with similar names having different customer id/s are merged into single customer id.
and that is why I faced net banking saying NO SUCH ACCOUNTS UNDER THIS FUNCTION. 
I have made attempts to open the net banking and as it exceeded 3 times, they have Blocked for safety. Now when I
approached for UNBLOCKING the Net Banking account , the customer service could not help as D.O.B. is to be corrected
at the branch level. Now the canara bank customer service have given complaint number to me saying it will be resolved
in 7 working days.
Why this is told here is some pensioners may face similar situations, so better go the branch where pension account  is there,
they have to see whether their D.O.B and other particulars are properly noted?

While opening net Banking account both email ID and Phone Number are registered. In case you change your phone number later on the same should be informed to the branch through email of the branch or in person and ensure that same is registered. Net banking can be unblocked through debit card. If you get error message like DOB not registered etc immediately send an email to branch where account is maintained requesting noting of correct DOB. In most cases it will be done with 24 hours.

My experience is similar.Canara bank just exits with old bandicoot s ploughing field and sitting on benches and seats without any effective work.

faced similar problems plus TDS problems. TDS certificate though available on net banking ,certificate for  Q1,Q2,Q3 cant be downloaded from Traces web site.
I have used public grievance system of the bank to settle my last years TDS problems. Of course Branch co operation is much needed to resolve the issues.
