Of late, it is observed that the issue of setting right the anomaly in calculation of exgratia to the Pre Nov 2002 pensioners finds no mention in the relevant communications. Perhaps, the leaders too feel that the issue will get resolved automatically as and when the base month for calculating exgratia is shifted from October2022 to October 2023 or beyond at the time of revising the exgratia. It is indeed a pity that the tapered DA formula continues to haunt this group of senior pensioners even long after they got 100% DA after a wait of 18 years.
