Need IBA Group Medical Insurance Renewal Format

Hi,
I am a retired employee of Canara bank. I didn't find either the format for IBA group medical insurance renewal form or the circular document on the Canara bank website. I received a renewal notice through email from M/s K M Dastur Reinsurance Brokers, but it doesn't have the format in which to send the renewal application.

I checked the online link for entering data and making payments, but it is asking me for the bank association to which I belong. I am not sure if I am a member of any association currently.

I even sent an email to the help desk mail IDs mentioned, but haven't received any response from them yet.

Appreciate any help in this regard from the group members.

I too not renwedly medical policy from last year, I have made a fixed deposit for Rs 5 lakh and marked for medical expenses. By this I am saving extra money, if I  would not have gone for insurance from the beginning I would have saved better balance in my account .

Yes.Affordability of premium is the basic reason.Good number of retirees have already opted out from, IBAGMI scheme on account of this.

Only way out is that,Banks have to think about to extend partial or full subsidy towards premium.Few of PSBs are doing it now.(BOB,Indian Bank etc.Federal Bank in private sector too)

No doubt retirees should have a Medi Insurance Cover when cost of medicines /treatment are going up.

But at the same time it may be very  difficult for retirees  to provide  two or more months pension towards premium.

(For basic cover of Rs.3 lakhs ,premium is Rs.41334/.at present and maximum at  Rs.72988/ for cover of ₹4L plus top up of ₹5L.)

Really, I am not. This is just to cover financially.

 It  will not immune me and my wife from any health hazard.

I feel that CHV is treating the learned senior retirees inhumane. 

The damage made by CHV with the bank retirees will have multitude curse caused havoc in all our lives with wicked games.

The collusion cinema is known to everyone here, leaving it to God to punish.

Only mantra for health, I practice is keep and maintain within what you have like simple physical exercises, good food habits and forget and forgive the people who are selfish and betray with holding the flag to move on with all the positive energies.

Without holding brief for any one individual, I need to know how CHV has caused damages ?  Please enlighten us  which  enables us join you in criticising him.

What is the role of other organisations ?  Is it not true that you are insulting your own Officers' Association ?

Does that mean, CHV alone is responsible for the benefits secured even for the Officers ?

Irrespective of who it is, we shall not pass comments based on conjunctures. Else, at least we should share information why one feels so with reasons.  This is applicable to not only CHV, it is about all including you and me.

Sri Tarakeshwar Chakrabarty did the most significant harm by introducing Pensions in the banking sector and now the present leaders have made amends by scrapping pensions and introducing NPS for the employees who joined after 2010. They have made amends by scrapping fully neutralised dearness relief for pre-2002 pensioners, They have made amends by removing the clause for periodical revision of the pension from the PR 1995. They have caused so many amendments to safeguard the interest of the bank pensioners. We should not cast aspersion on any individual on pure conjectures. The role of the unions in conjuncture with the present health of the banking system should be taken into account.

Ok, I understand now.

 Stepping into the current mindset of the stream, it is evident that we say the system/process we follow is not sustainable.

Take for instance, Medical insurance in question is not affordable for many among us, so what way as a UFBU leader bargained and got for the layman members like me.

On the other hand, the banks are in a marketing spree with a loan to meet the premium.

Is this a good trend and ethical.

Did anyone is happy with current pension that it will atleast meet the basic needs of seniors.

Bank unions are worst unions,and,  worst leaders and they are unfit to be the leaders of trade union, union leaders instead of demanding pension revision they themselves say there is no FUNDS to revise as if the account is maintained by them. When loans worth several crores are written off the leaders never raise their voice.
