FOR INFORMATION:

  As per Labour Bureau, dt 30th July'22.

"The All-India CPI-IW for June, 2022 increased by 0.2 points and stood at 129.2 (one hundred twenty nine point two). On 1-month percentage change, it increased by 0.16 per cent with respect to previous month compared to an increase of 0.91 per cent recorded between corresponding months a year ago."

ALL INDIA CONSUMER PRICE INDEX NUMBER FOR INDUSTRIAL WORKERS (AICPIN-IW) 2016=100, FOR JUNE 2022

129.2 points  -55 slabs increase.

The rectified figure of  All India Consumer Price Index Number for Industrial Workers(AICPIN-IW ) Base Year 2016=100 for June 2022, is  129.2 points, with an increase of 0.2 points while compared to May 2022 figure as furnished here under:

Accordingly the average index for the above quarter comes to    8456      points.

As such there will have an increase of 55 slabs in index numbers for  June ’22 .

Dear Sri Nair,

What you have said is perfectly ok.
But, most of the pensioners, particularly the
2002 retirees, are affected much; non-updation of
pension is also felt very much. The only solace is the
changing DR every six months. Hence the anxiety
and the queries.

Nothing to be happy with increase in DA because Dearness has increased more and our real pension has decreased. Pre-2002 Retirees are more sufferers.

In fact, the Govt/ management advanced the DR payment to be construed as pension updation  as it ensured periodical rise conveniently forgetting that the DR is paid to compensate the rise in prices.

I did not mention/mean "happy" with increase of DR.

When nothing is in the offing,the only DR change once
in six months is an expectation.
