Dear Friends,
As you are aware, General Secretary of All India Bank Retirees Federation(AIBRF) has already issued a circular vide 2016/399 dated 24.4.2016,to its office bearers /Central Committee members on proceedings of  Office Bearers’ Meet held at New  Delhi on 22nd & 23rd April 2016, copy of which is available under this column.
Proposed action programmes have also been incorporated in above circular, and regarding submission of representation to Hon Prime Minister the relevant part is furnished here under  for members ready reference:

"After detailed discussion and considering various suggestions given by the office bearers and as well as the programmes proposed by the central office, the following action programmes for next 5 months were finalised and approved by the house. While finalising the programmes, the main strategy was that there should be continuity and to be conducted in phased manner to keep the retiree issues in focus on long term basis till they are resolved. Strong organisational base of AIBRF, resources position were also discussed and kept in mind."

"(a) REPRESENTATION TO THE PRIME MINISTER:

The house took decision that maximum possible with minimum 10,000 individual members should submit on line representations to the Prime Minister on pending issues of retirees seeking his intervention for their resolution.
Format of the representation to be sent is enclosed herewith. This programme should be completed during the month of May, 2016. As all of you are aware the present Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has created web site in PMO to enable any citizen to write directly to him on any issue online.
The member who desirous to write to the PM will have to open PMO web site through Google or any search engine. Thereafter he or she will have to go to “ Write to PM” menu. This menu will call for several personal details like name, contact number e-mail etc which will have to be filled up and thereafter representation in PDF format will have to be attached.
After filling of all required details and attachment, the representation can be submitted and on submission of it, the acknowledgement with representation number will be communicated on contact number as well as on e-mail instantly for future reference.
For sending the representation one should have e-mail Id and mobile number which our all most all members have. Advantages of sending online representation is that acknowledgement from PMO office is sent and appropriate actions are taken on the representation. "

The Format of representation to PM, provided by AIBRF  is furnished here under for information:

Shri Narendra Modi

The Honorable Prime Minister

Government of India

New Delhi

Respected Sir,

I wish to mention that I am retiree and pensioner of_____________ (Bank )

I bring to your kind notice that those retired before November, 2002 are paid much lower dearness allowance. Basic pension of bank pensioners has not been revised in last 21 years. Family pension payable to the spouse on death of pensioner in banking industry is less than half of those payable in RBI and the government sector. Because of this position, financial position of bank retirees in the present high inflation scenario is pathetic and miserable.

Our organisation AIBRF has been raising the above issues for last 10 years before IBA who is responsible for formulation of pension scheme . But IBA is not ready to hold discussion with the representatives of the organisation which represent more than 1, 35,000 retirees under the pretext of no specific mandate from member banks.

Further I find that IBA is also not meeting its commitment given in the Record Note dated 25.05.2015 even after lapse of one year in the name of non- completion of cost study which can be easily completed in not more than one month in the present world of technology. More than 40000 retirees have left this world without getting justice.

We the retirees have lot of hopes from you Sir. Kindly issue suitable direction to the authorities for resolution bank retiree issues

 Respectful Regards

Yours Sincerely

(                                 )

Dear Friends,

I have gone through the format of representation to be submitted to the Prime Minister of India. My suggestion in this regard is that the representation should be drafted/amended in such a way that all pending demands of all categories of retirees are given in the representation in addition to the individual demands of the concerned employee. This adjustment can be made in the second para as under:
Our organization ALL INDIA BANK RETIREES FEDERATION (AIBRF) has been raising the following issues of the retirees with IBA:
1
Uniform 100% DA Relief to Bank Pensioners, who retired

    before November    2002.

2 Pension to CRS & other left overs including those who failed

to remit PF amount   within the  stipulated period.

3 Pension Updation:
4 Improvement of Family Pension:
5 Pension for Employees resigned after putting Pensionable Service:

6

7

AIBRF had been taking up these issues for the last 10 years before INDIAN
BANKS ASSOCIATION (IBA) who is responsible for formulation of pension
scheme. But IBA is not ready to hold discussion with the representatives of
the organization which represent more than 1, 35,000 retirees under the

pretext of no specific mandate from member banks.

In this way demands of all section of retirees will be covered.

This is my suggestion. If my friends like it they can adopt it .Suitable adjustment may be made

Dear Sir,
Thanks for your email. Noted the contents. Format for sending details to PM Sri Modiji
looks suitable only to retiree & pensioners & no mention abt the left overs. So, I think only those who are already getting pension should send the petion.
