As per Staff Circular No.8226 dated 

26.03.2024 of UBI:

"2. Arrears in respect of employees retired/ superannuated/ VRS/CRS/ death, who had opted

for pension will be calculated centrally by the Union Parivar, HR Department, Central

Office and will be paid in their respective pension accounts directly in April 2024."

Union Bank of India too disbursed Ex gratia arrears, today along with monthly pension for  March'24.

 Punjab National Bank,Canara Bank ,Indian Bank etc have already paid the amount to pensioners so far.

Indian Bank has not yet paid the ex-gratia and the pension for March. Normally it is paid on the 1st of the following month.This time it is likely to be credited on the 2nd April.

       when all the banks are  paying the arrears of exgatia one by one  the so called BIG BROTHER  state bank of india  is delaying the payment. AS a matter of fact, the reason behind this is not known. please inform us if you know anything about this.PLEASE REPLY

All banks have calculated Ex-gratia on actual gross pension  received on October 2022. No 100% DA neutralization notionally was considered

Now AIBEA recent circular says we will get ex-gratia with notional 100% DA neutralization for pre 2002 retired

Why anomaly?

Indian bank missed the early pension creditors list as so far no credit in my account .

Hope they might join in close second set even though normally they will take initiative in joining with the front runners .

Probably the second and subsequent bankers can credit the exgratia with notional 100 percent DA with the help of IBA who may oblige to give circular with more clarity without ambiguity.

I once again ask you to take up plight  of 8TH AND 9TH BPS RETIREES  while arriving  at multiplying  factor.

I should be .09 for 8TH  BPS RETIREES  and .07 for 9TH BPS RETIREES  if arrived  at uniform parameters.

Why 0.12 to 7th and 0.07 to 8th? because 8th bps retires enjoying 100 % DA since 2005 while 7th BPS were looser for 22 long years   at that time 8th and 9th BPS were enjoying 100 percent DA, not even raised a question why these people are getting tapered DA ,now why hue and cry for a nominal difference of  0.05 difference?
