ACCOUNTABILITY AND TRANSPARENCY IN BPS NEGOTIATIONS

AIBOC and AIBEA demand accountability and transparency from DFS in every decision taken by DFS be it career progression policy, PIL etc and they demand a structured consultation process. But they do not want to practice the same with regard to BPS negotiations. They make unilateral decisions which have a huge financial impact on pensioners, such as denying pension benefits on special allowance and  agreeing that retirees should bear 100%  of insurance premium etc without consulting retirees organizations.

Banks are spending lakh on conducting wage negotiations and union members also pay 200-400 crores for quality wage negotiations. So conducting meeting secretly in closed rooms lacks accountability and transparency.

proceedings of BPS meeting should be conducted  by supervision of third party like a representative from DFS and proceedings should be video recorded. When Supreme Court proceedings are  available online why not BPS.

Sir,

Very aptly said with courage and without fear. While in service, we were under fear under threat of union's disfavour and transfer threat or without support from management and union. We are free now to express our displeasure. Union is needed and leaders have led us to fight the management in unity. Everything has to be unambiguous and transparent.
