Hope this finds you all in good health.

You are all aware that the UFBU has signed a historic settlement with

Indian Banks Association on 27 04 2010 on wage revision and one more

option for pension for the present employees and retirees.

This one more option to join the pension scheme would not have

been possible  but for the efforts taken by UFBU.

We, the State Committee of AIBRF, have arranged a meeting of the 

city retirees and requested the city based top three leaders of the

UFBU to address us and to accept our honour and felicitation. 

The details of the meeting are:

PLACE:    AIOBEU - SWASTHIKA - L BALASUBRAMANIAN HALL

             Dr. Radhakrishnan Salai (adjacent to Children Garden School

             and opposite to Yello pages)  Mylapore  Chennai 600 004

DATE:    12 05 2010  - WEDNESDAY

TIME:     05.30 PM

PARTICIPANTS:    1.  Com  C. H. VENKATACHALAM.

                             Convenor  UFBU  & General Secretary AIBEA

                         2.  Com.  L. BALASUBRAMANIAN

                             President, NCBE  and

                         3.  Com.  R. J SRIDHARAN

                             General Secretary  AIBOA

The leaders will speak on  background, hurdles encountered, and

the methodology adopted to achieve the same.  They will also highlight

the salient features of the scheme.

As this is the best opportunity to show our solidarity and gratitude to

these great leaders, we request all the retirees to attend the meeting.

We have also arranged a workshop/ help desk( at 03.30 PM at the venue)

to help calculate the amount to be refunded, the commutation payable 

and the monthly pension payable to the retirees who furnish the basic data.

This will be handled by two senior officers of IOB who had worked in the

Pension Dept. at their Central office.

Ultimately they will charge levy even after loosing the battle, comrades ask them about non payment of arrears and charging of load,
The leaders do not have any financial problem because even after
retirement they are collecting money and enjoying the privileges. The
people who were office bearers in the yesteryears are leading the
retirees and continue to make us fool.Fighters and legal minded persons
should come forward and take away the reins from the old stalwarts who
have repeatedly proved them to be solicitors and have always acted as
unbecoming of true leaders in letters as well as in spirits.

Sir you are right but still we have so many honest and dedicated people
who believe in sacrificing for others should be sorted and encouraged
to come forward and take a lead . Bankers are not demanding charity
from the budget they are simply asking for the remedy for the
crookedness which management in connivance with the leadership is
doing.We are fighting twin battle that is one against the injustice of
Iba for not extending option after structural amendment in pension act
1995 and another against the surrender of ufbu on the issue and taking
forward the bipartite as per IBA wishes which ultimately takes away our
strength to fight in the court of law.
Good samaritan like Mr.Venugopal are doing the work silently ,please
encourage such people and join hands together.
