GST COUNCIL has taken a policy decision that individual policy holders are exempted from paying GST on health insurance premium and not group insurance scheme. 

IBA and UFBU have implemented a group 7 health insurance scheme called GIMS. 

Now IBA and UFBU should discuss issue and find a way to resolve the issue by taking up issue directly with GST council by IBA. who has launched the scheme. 

If not successful  IBA may direct Banks to offer subsidy to the GST amount.

AIBRF is not party to the agreement and writing letters is waste of time.

Legislation ( Law ) is the job of the Government.

Its interpretation can be made by Courts.

So, please go to Court.

Perhaps it may not be delayed like Pension Updation.

Iba has already I understand issued circular to banks about health insurance policy for retirees and the premium rate including GST .

Hence it is now difficult to get any further reductions .

Courts cannot interfere with premium rate including GST for group insurance schemes

No point in crying!
