Dear Friends,

ALL INDIA CONSUMER PRICE INDEX NUMBER FOR INDUSTRIAL WORKERS (AICPIN-IW) 2016=100,FOR NOV’23.

As per release made by Labour Bureau, Ministry of Labour and Employment,Govt. of India,today the All India Consumer Price Index Numbers,for industrial workers,for November 2023  (AICPIN-IW) 2016 = 100  stood at 139.1 points, with  an increase of 0.7 points,compared to Oct'23 figures as  follows:

  Base year 2016=100.    1960=100.  

Oct'23. 138.    9098.22                                  

Nov'23. 139.1.  9144.24

Pensioners, next half yearly DR may be arrived based on CPI numbers for Oct,Nov & Dec'23.

It may be presumed that if the current months level under AICPIN is maintained  in Dec'23 too there may have 62 slabs increase in DR payable to pensioners w.e.f 1^st Feb’24.

Exact figure may be known only on release of Dec'23 index number by next month.

 

 As per Ministry : "Year-on-year inflation for the month stood at 4.98 per cent compared to 4.45 per cent for the previous month and 5.41 per cent during the corresponding month a year before. Similarly, Food inflation stood at 7 .95 per cent against 6.27 per cent of the previous month and 4.30 per cent during the corresponding month a year ago."
