From the SA chair,
Hello everyone and welcome to a new term in the ever promising history of The Bangor City FC Supporters Association.
This coming season could possibly be seen as the most crucial one yet as members of the SA.
Reason ….. It could well be the last season we could spend at Farrar road (I am sure I said that last season also). Anyway we must look on the positive side.
So lots of work to do but as usual on a small number of people making it all happen, we hope this season that you can make a difference it what will be an emotional time for all in leaving this fine place.
Just a mention on last season and the effort everyone made in donating over £13,000 to the club once again, I fine effort by all, thank you.
It was by that assistance that Nev and the boys brought home the welsh cup, a day that will never be forgotten, but their again it could only happen to Bangor that I’m convinced of. Its just a shame that on the day that some fans decided to take the taint off the day by jumping on the pitch. This is something we must improve on this coming season as the Welsh FA decided to impose a £10,000 fine on us for that incident.
Last season was also a sad time as the SA lost a very good friend and life member Mr. Brian Pritchard. Brian would have been over the moon with that win at Newtown.
It was a real experience for me personally to get the offer of going to see the UEFA CUP draw in Geneva, a really proud moment I have to say, it would have been even prouder if with six balls left in the pot that would could have drawn Manchester City but we all know the outcome, back to selling ducks, raffles, dinners etc etc.
If members have any idea`s for events that they would like to see at Farrar road during the last season and are willing to help in making them happen please drop us a line at www.bcfcsa.com
At our last AGM we were glad to see some fresh faces at a meeting, these people make a big difference to me as fresh idea`s can be discussed and new avenue’s are opened, so please come down to a meeting this coming season and who knows, John Gibson may even make you a cup of tea and if you lucky a biscuit to go with it.
