Cardiff does it, Newtown have done it....so why
can't Bangor?? The Bangor City Football Club Supporters Association and The
British Heart Foundation have joined forces to stage the very first Dash 'Dolig
in Bangor. The aim is to get people out and running, jogging or walking and have
a good time during the build up to Christmas. The event will take place on
Sunday 9th December and the Santa's will start at Farrar Rd, run down the High
St to a finish line on Beach Rd.
The Dash 'Dolig is a fun event and
is open to everyone and for the entry free we will even provide you with a Santa
suit. More details will be available soon...so put the date in your diary and
even of you don't fancy taking part, come and along and take part in history by
witnessing the First Ever Santa Race in Bangor.
The BCFCSA have
been organising local fundraising events for a number of years and this is our
first joint venture with the British Heart Foundation, who have been organising
events of this type all over the UK. The importance of looking after our hearts
and staying active is a message supported by the players and managerial staff at
the club, whom have all recently undergone ECG testing.
More
details can be found at
www.bcfcsa.com and
you can register your interest in the race at
city_...@hotmail.co.uk whether you
wish to take part or volunteer.
