Is there anyone out there who thinks the new traffic layout at the
railway station is good???????
Does there have to be an accident beofre Gwynedd realise that this is
a disaster in the making? How can they expect cars to merge safely
when everyone is in a rush to go first?

Whoever though of this is an idiot, because it clearly does not work.
I nearly whitnessed an accident there only this moring when a learner
driver (a bit slow in changing lanes) was nearly run off th road by an
impatient femal driver! The other car had given way to the learner and
then lost patience as she took too long to change lanes. There was a
mad rush of cars tooting their horns and showing road rage to one
another.

Mark my words there will be an accident here soon and then they'll
most probably have a rethink and change it again.

I urge you all to complain to the council about this 'merging' lanes
and ask them to sort it out. Many youngsters cross this road. Kids
from the schools and young adults fro the University and college. My
message is here for all to see BEFORE and accident happens. Don't let
me say I told you so!

Hi John
I agree with you the new traffic layout at the railway station is dreadful, and yes there will be one big accident there one day before they do something about it.  The last time they changed the lights it was not sucessful.
I saw the present lights off by the station a few weeks ago and the chaos before the police arrived was horrendous, and the tailback of traffic was awful I was stuck in it.  I have seen children and students trying to cross the road especially the Holyhead Road, the lights do not give disabled people who walk slow a chance to cross such a wide area.
Whats the point of complaining to the Council they never listen to us in Bangor do they.  What a waste of 3million pounds, which could have been put to better use providing housing for people to live in.
I feel so sorry for the youngsters of today, where are they going to find social housing to live in, in Bangor there is no where.  They cannot afford to buy as house prices here are horrendous and the wages poor.
My children have had to live and work out of Bangor.  They are welsh and proud to be welsh even living in another country.  Ashamed when they come home and see Bangor in the state its in at the moment, dirty, untidy.

I totally agree that there will be an accident near the Railway
station sooner than later.

However being a regular user of C'fon Rd i have to say that the
traffic has improved so much coming into Bangor near Ou ladies school.
If they can re evaluate the situation near the station then it could
well be a lot better / safer road system . . .
