Dear BYMCians!!!

You are warmly invited to attend the Climate Solutions Conference on Friday 29th March, 2-6pm, at the JATRI Centre at BRAC University (TK Bhaban (Level 12), 13 Karwanbazar, Beside NTV, Dhaka 1215).

 

This free, eco-friendly, non-profit and volunteer-led conference will be mainly held in Bengali, and will address practical solutions to tackle climate change issues in Bangladesh. Local experts from the environmental sector have volunteered their time to provide this unique learning and networking experience.

 

Key presentations will be as follows:

* Climate Change and Social Justice (Patrick Kirkby, Journeys for Climate Justice)

* Mobilizing Civil Society on Climate Action (Shehab Shamir, Bangladesh Youth Environmental Initiative)

* Renewable Energy Solutions (Md. Ziaul Haque, Department of Environment)

* Community-Based Adaptation and Beyond (Dr. Haseeb Md. Irfanullah, Practical Action)

* Implications of 'Loss & Damage' (Erin Jones & Hafijul Khan, International Centre for Climate Change & Development, and Centre for Climate Justice)

 

Registration is compulsory and numbers are limited.

The conference will begin at 2pm sharp, please arrive 15 minutes early for registration and seating.
