Dear friends,
I am writing from the India Water Portal regarding an opportunity to contribute to policies for the Himalayan States.
I wonder if you know of the Sustainable Mountain Summits organised by the Indian Mountain Initiative. This year, the summit will be held at Kohima in late September(http://www.sdfnagaland.org/smds.html) and India Water Portal is facilitating the 'Water' theme. The topics for discussion are:
Water conflicts,
Water rights and access (including governance and gender issues), Innovations and technologies for mountain water management/conservation,
Policy gaps and opportunities in water conservation and management.
Climate change is a cross-cutting issue since it influences nearly every aspect of resource management.
