Dear BSFG Committee,

I am excited that we have the new tournament started today and enjoyed the first game between Jagoron and Boisakhi but unfortunately cannot say the same for the second game. I think many of us are getting familiar with lack of sportsmanship from Bengali Boys captain since last tournament incident with Bangladesh Sporting.

Mamum bhai requested me to do the umpiring for the second match as a BSFG Official, I did mention to Mamun that Bengali Boys captain will not accept me as an umpire but I was still insisted to do the umpiring and I accepted. I skipped a proper lunch and skipped plan with my kids to be there but guess what Bengali Boys showed their true colors and objected me to the umpire so it was complete waste of my time and humiliation by kids 10 years younger than suggesting me as thief who will be cheating to make Bengali Boys lose. I am many things but not a thief or dishonest person.

It’s not that I enjoy umpiring but I was shocked to hear that BSFG committee changed their mind about my umpiring as well. It was an insult but I hold no grudge or hard feelings against BSFG as I know the committee has been working hard to make this tournament happen but I have few questions and comments:

1.     Fowara cannot provide any umpire in matches in this tournament if no proper action is taken for this incident. I am sure you understand we do not want to go to do umpiring and get insulted in this manner

2.    What will you do if on next match we say we do not want this umpire? Are you going to change the umpire again? If not is it not going to be unfair to another team who wants change?

I was in Bengali Boys before and I like most of the players like Mohon, Tanvi, Leon, Zahid, Mithu, Rabbi, Tuhin to name few so I do not have any personal agenda against this team, and I do not think everyone should be punished for this for one or two bad apple in the bunch but I strongly believe the captain should be punished for such behavior.

Sometimes certain things might sound harsh but if we want to make BSFG more successful we need to be stricter. This is how I see it BSFG arranges the tournament, teams have choice to participate or not if they do participate they have to abide by BSFG laws if not they can play somewhere else is that an unreal expectation? So if some team does not like who is the umpire provided by BSFG then that is their problem they can choose not to play and forfeit the match.

I sincerely request BSFG to take action against this rude behavior and punish the bad behavior and not reward it by listening to ridiculous demands like BSFG did today, and if you choose to listen to these demands please have several umpires ready for next matches so the teams can pick their own umpire before the match. I know it is ridiculous demand and I hope you do not listen to this demand instead please take action.
