We started the day with “nagarsankeertan” at 5.45 am till 6.15 am. Followed by Bhajans at 10 am to 10.30 am in our samithi
There on, we took the opportunity to distribute sweets & fruits to mark the celebration of auspicious day of our beloved lord.
Members of our Frazer Town Samithi visited the following places: Distributing Laddu’s
· Murphy town school Ulsoor
· BKAM school St. Johns Road Cross
· Spastics society Indira Nagar
School Uniforms were distributed along with Laddu’s for the children at
· RBANMS School Thirukulathar ( Sweets were given to Staff & Teachers as well)
Fruits ( Oranges ) along with Sweets were shared with
· Blind orphanage Charles Campbell Road, Cox Town
Fruits ( Oranges) were distributed
· Sankar Eye Hospital Kundanahalli Gate, Marthahalli.
In the evening, we had Veda chanting @ 5.45p.m followed by Bhajans.
At 7 PM, Shri Uma Maheswar Rao, State Coordinator for organizing Orientation Camps for Office bearers at all levels in Karnataka State
delivered a speech to the devotees gathered on this occasion.
This was followed by a short Vedio presentation ( which had swami’s Darshan clippings) for 30 min.
And finally the much awaited Birthday Cake cutting ceremony was held, followed by mangalaharathi.
Prasadam was distributed to all the devotees who participated in this auspicious day & took Swami’s blessings.
In fact swami made his presence felt, as the Garland from the altar slowly came down during this event.
All those who were present were enthralled at this sight and felt blessed.

1) As you would know on Thursday (Nov.21), there was a huge fire inside Ambedkar nagar slum in cuffe parade. (TOI dated Nov.22 page, and headlines of Mumbai Mirror Today.) This fire engulfed almost 900 shanties and rendered many people homeless. (News paper figures are about 2000 homeless.
2) Fort Samithi under the overall coordination of Dr. V.V. Nori, & Mr. Datta Jadhav and their team of volunteers have been visiting the site and have assessed the most required items for the affected people. They have already been distributing mineral water bottles, biscuit packets, food packets, clothes etc over last 2 days.
3) In order to reach larger number of affected people, we have planned to distribute sarees and bedsheets (used and in good condition) on 7th December. And for this seva, request larger participation from all Samithies. Please send in used sarees and bedsheets. Your seva dals are also welcome to help the members of Fort Samithi in this Seva.
4) Please note, that the requirement be limited to only sarees and bedsheets in usable condition (and no other clothes). Those wanting to contribute these materials may please contact the following people for collection. Also please note, these have to be sent by 4th December.
