We (A group of Young Maithil Professionals at Bangalore) are extremely pleased and excited to welcome H.E. Rameshwar Thakur, as a new Governor of Krnataka.We feel an immense pleasure to welcome a great Lawyer, a Prominent Charted Accountant, an Ideal teacher and an extraordinary Politician at the land of Bengaluru.

 

The appointment of H.E. Rameshwar Thakur gives us the feeling of the renewal the history (1097-1326 AD) of  Maithili- Kannadiga relationship.

During 1097-1326 AD Mithila was ruled by  Karnat Kings who had a significant contribution in the developement Maithili language and culture; and now a Maithil as a Governor of Karnataka will deffinately make this cultural relation more strong.
The oath owing ceremony of Shree Tahkur will  be a moment of  pride for lakhs of Mathils satying in Kranataka. (In Bangalore Only IT professional Maithils are more than 2.5 Lakhs).
 

 

Brief Introduction of H.E. Thakur :

Shri Rameshwar Thakur (b. 28 Jul 1927 in Village Thakur Gangti, Godda District, Jharkhand —), a senior Indian National Congress politician and former union minister of India is Governor of Karnataka and former Governor of Orissa and Andhra Pradesh. He is a chartered accountant. He was also President, Institute of Chartered Accountants of India from 1966 to 1967.
