I wanted to pop in and say, "Hello".
I run the Hackers and Founders meetup in Silicon Valley. [1] And,
since Metcalf's law (The value of a network is equal to the square of
the number of nodes in the network) seems to work with real life
networks as well as computer networks, I try to keep tabs on other
global HN meetups by maintaining a Google doc of HN meetups that I
hear about [2]. I'd consider it an honor, if you would update the
spreadsheet with any HN meetups in India that you hear about.
I'm doing this because I believe that creating a network of HN meetup
networks is very useful for everyone involved. I've been running
Hackers and Founders meetups for almost 3 years, and it's been amazing
to watch people connect, work together and startup companies.
We already have had some cross pollination between other HN / Hackers
and Founders meetups from Boston, New York, New Zealand, London and
Tel Aviv. I'd love to see some trans-pacific cross pollination as
well.
If there's anything that we can do to help you guys, or if any of you
are ever in town, be sure to drop by and see us, or feel free to email
me[3]. My contact information is on my HN profile.
Cheers,
