You cannot technically make both email addresses point to the same
mailbox the way you can do in some corporate email systems but you can
do the following steps to make the eventual effect the same.
1. Use a catch-all filter to forward all email from OldEmailAddress to
NewEmailAddress.
2. Export all contacts from OldEmailAddress and import them into
NewEmail Address -

3. Copy emails from OldEmailAddress to NewEmailAddress by following
the steps here -

4. Add a custom "From" address to your NewGmailAddress when you want
to use your OldEmailAddress. I do not know if this feature works with
mailing lists etc. but at least it will be partially useful for
emailing humans to trick them into thinking you are still using your
OldEmailAddress. Of course since you are probably moving away
permanently it might make more sense to just start using your
NewEmailAddress -

5. You can also set a specific "reply-to" email address for your
OldEmailAddress which should obviously be your NewEmailAddress. That
way if for whatever reason you continue using it to reply to or send
out emails recipients will at least reply to your NewEmailAddress when
they reply -

Let us know what steps you finally followed to make the move. Thanks.
