FYI and reference...if you are coding in groovy, it may help you code more in a groovy-like manner and less in a java-like manner...

Subject: [groovy-user] Quick start / style guide for Java developers learning Groovy
To: Groovy User <us...@groovy.codehaus.org>

Hi all,

Recently, I had to do a little code review on a Java project
integrating Groovy for its plugin system.
Developers on the project were Java developers, but not necessarily
with much exposition to Groovy.
So the code they wrote wasn't benefiting from all the Groovy features
we have to offer.

I collected my various remarks and thoughts, while doing this
analysis, and wrote the following document:

http://groovy.codehaus.org/Groovy+style+and+language+feature+guidelines+for+Java+developers

By no means is it intended to cover all the existing features of
Groovy, nor is it a definitive guide to Groovy either.
But I hope it gives a few keys to unlocking the power of Groovy,
allowing you to better use Groovy in your applications and to help
your beginner colleagues to get up to speed with Groovy.

I also hope that this is just a starting point, and that you can also
contribute your own advice and ideas to this document, as this is a
wiki document :-)
