My personal experience is that many dealers are still not familiar with SMS format.

Subject: Valid SMS Formats
Dear Sir,
It is identified that more number of error in format messages generated due to lack of knowledge about the format of the SMS indent, so, kindly circulate this message to all the planning officers, if possible to dealers.
Valid SMS-Format for Raising indents:
1. For Today : 117255 7255 hsd15 ms5 or 117255 7255 hsd15 ms5 0
To accept duplicate indents: after zero add ‘d’ : 117255 7255 hsd15 ms5 0d
2. For advance booking: put ‘1’ instead of ‘0’ at the end : 117255 7255 hsd15 ms5 1
To accept duplicate in advance booking: 117255 7255 hsd15 ms5 1d
Valid SMS-Format for modifying indent:
117255 7255 hsd8 ms4 modify 120409105
Green: new indent product and quantity
Red: Existing indent ticket number which is going to change.
Valid SMS-Format for cancelling indent:
117255 7255 hsd15 ms5 cancel 120409105
Existing indent product and qty and the ticket number to be cancelled.
Possible Errors:
1. No space between product and qty i.e ms5 is correct ms 5 is wrong
2. exactly one space between elements i.e 117255 7255 is correct, 117255 7255 is wrong
3. While typing the message should not use enter key for example
117255 7255 ms
5 hsd15
if the SMS text '5' comes to next line automatically then what usually dealers do they make it right by keying enter before ms as shown below.
117255 7255
ms5 hsd15
is wrong because an enter key is pressed after 7255.
Apart from this even if you have small extra dot or symbol it will treat the SMS as error.
