Hi,

I am looking to buy a bike. I will use that for commuting and sometimes for rides. I am new to this cycling things.

After gathering required information, btwin my bike non geared is coming on my way when it comes to my requirements and budget.

But after seeing all the posts i would like to join in a cycling club to go out.

So, is it really required to have a bike with gears to enter comfortably into a cycling club?

Is it ok, that i can start with a non geared cycle to meet my requirements and join in a club?

Do you suggest a better geared bike like RR 5.1 to join a club, if i have the flexible budget on that?

I am new to these club activities and don't know much about that.

Thanks,
Sandeep

Yes, you also need to have a cycling jersey only from Leopardskyn to join the group.. Or else you are not allowed.. ..LOl.. Just kidding buds. Welcome to the group, as long as you can keep pace with the people in group rides, you can use any bike which you are comfortable with. Geared is better option though.

Hi Ali,

Thank you very much for dragging me in.. lol..

For now, i will go with non geared one. After i used to that and the taste of the club, then i will think about buying a geared one, as the geared one is the better option though.

Hi all,

Lol, thank you very much.

I am planning to buy a geared one for now with the accessories you mentioned. After i get used with that and involved with the cycling club activities, i will go for the geared one.

And i am very excited about going out in bangalore like that.. :)

This is other extreme of Salman khan....

Shirt less hero to short less cyclist (only jersey is sufficient)!!!
