Visibility at night and Safety

Came across this blog which says More visibility doesn't necessarily mean you are safer . 

Kind of counter intuitive .

I'm not sure if this is the same one, but research supports that. Just because we are lit up like the Christmas tree doesn't mean we are less likely to get hit.
