Suggestion (just got back from the TFN recce) - avoid riding all the way back to Mysore. After PugMarks in Bandipur, the road ceases to exist upto Gundlupet, and from abt 20kms before Nanjungud, the traffic's quite crazy.

I was just going throught the le tour de nilgiris page on google
groups. I just wondered that most of the text out there seemed copy +
paste from TFN site. As a visitor to the site, I expected something
fresh coming out of a new group.
Though it is understood that the route will be same as TFN, we could
have at least changed a few designations like tour director etc etc ,
unless otherwise it's been sheer coincidence.,

As a visitor I lose interest on a site like this. I appreciate the
initiative to make a tour reachable to many both in terms of challenge
and cost. Let's not lose the originality in what we do. Please omit my
suggestion if it is already taken care..

cheers,
Badri

Hi Badri,

Thanks for your valuable feedbacks. Yes, I accept the fact that "Le Tour de Nilgiris" is (and not seems to be) a copy + paste from the TFN site..

But, If you would have followed up from the original thread, you would have known that we even used the name of TFN actively and currently are actively supported by the TFN organisers, to the extent that I have even been invited to post various ride plans on a TFN site. Its the selfless sharing of ideas and experience by the TFN crew that's helping us in successfully organising this trip. I am always thankful to the TFN Guys (Pradeep, Ravi, Deepak) for helping me out in all aspects.

Plus for future rides, I can never say that we will be going to follow a route where no one has been to before on their Bikes.

Hoping to catch up with you on one of the long weekend rides in the near future. :-)

Regards

Dipankar

You may want to try this..... which has very less traffic all the way!

We did this last year.

Guys,

Could convince my dear ladies (Sis and wife) to spare their car for
our tour and use their husband's cars till we come back!
I can pitch in two zen cars - little old but well maintained. We will
have to foot the gas and driver bill

Dipankar told me that we have a professional driver and we will use it
for my Zen. My sister would confirm whether her driver will be
available and she might insist to take him as a driver. She will
confirm this today

Dipankar,
Since you are our treasurer :-) can you please confirm the booking for
these two (or one) cars?

cheers,
Vivek
