Hi ,

I am using a decathlon mybike, bought around 4 months ago. For locking, I am using a Cable lock with Key Lock, provided by decathlon. Its something similar to the one shown in this link:

Issue I am facing with this lock is that the keys are getting worn out/bent easily. I lost the original keys, hence got a duplicate keys made. But the duplicate keys don't open the lock easily.
Sometime, It takes me around 20 minutes to open the lock. Not sure if the key is problem, or lock.

Wanted to know if this is a common complaint with the decathlon cable lock/keys .
Should I go for any other type of lock?

Thanks.

One issue might be -- if the lock mechanism is simply not moving smoothly (or getting stuck) due to friction.  I have faced that issue with such cable locks.  Just adding a 1-2 drops of oil in the keyhole can get the lock working so smoothly sometimes, you will find it hard to believe it was giving a problem earlier. :)  Also try adding 1-2 drops of oil in the hole where the cable tail goes into the lock head.
