Hi All,

Yesterday I did my long overdue ride on Mysore raod,
unfortunately I couldn't complete it to Mysore but it was
really wonderfull ride.

earlier we had plan to do with Avinash and team, but
unfortunately one of their bike was having some problem
so Avinash and his team cancelled the trip

but I decided to go solo on my Octane DB 1.

I started at 5:15 from my home ( I wanted to start early but I
am really scared with stary dogs, and they create really
big problem in early morning)

just after crossing Bangalore I started feeling really good,
It was really beautifull day for a long bike ride)

the only issue I faced was winds which made my spped a little bit
slower

just before reaching Mandya my bike started making some weired noices,
and
I got a minor mussle strain on my left thigh, so I returned back from
Mandya by bus, It was really disappointing that It Mysore was just 40
KM from
Mandya

I did 115 KM ride in this trip ( earlier I just did two 30 KM rides
on
OOR so it is really big achievement for me :) )

It took me 6:30 hours for 115 KM ( Its ok considering my Octane DB 1
and my weight :) )

Nice effort Soni.

A solo ride on highway can be taxing.

Good to hear that you crossed the 100km mark.

Hi Subbu,

I took normal KRCTC bus from Mandya, but It didn't had any top luggage
rack or luggage box
so I placed it on last seat of the bus ( conductor was kind enough to
help me in that)

but if you are coming from mysore then you can use KRCTC Airavat ,
that is a better option ,
you can easily put ur bike in luggage area

Soni,
Great Effort  ... given that you decided to ride, even if it meant solo.
Mysore road is a challenger (more for MTB)......I am glad you made a attempt.
Like someone said... keep doing it until you tame it.

cheers,
-Navdeep

Thanks guys for the encouragement.
and yes, it was somewhat tough on an MTB,
but I don't feel comfortable on road bike, so may
be next month I will get some better MTB than
my Octane

Om,
sure we can plan some long stretch
